Gabriels Care & Nursing Agency shines a light on talent in the care community
For immediate release
1 February 2019
Reading, Berkshire, 7 March 2019 – Gabriels Care and Nursing Agency exclusively announced the inauguration of the Gabriels Care Awards in January 2019, with some of Reading’s most outstanding carers and nurses voted by clients and colleagues.
It is widely reported that the UK care industry is experiencing a difficult time, with home closures, restricted wages, and the overall population living longer with more intensive needs. Inevitably the demand for care has also placed more pressure on resources in our hospitals, care homes and on regulation. Care agencies provide an essential service. Operating across the UK, they contribute towards alleviating staffing pressures and maintaining the highest-quality of care all clients deserve.
Gabriels recognises the industry would not survive without dedicated, hard-working and caring individuals whose expertise and commitment to caring for our loved-ones are easily overshadowed by challenges. On this occasion, Gabriels and its management team decided to lift the spirits in the care community by hosting a company care award.
“It is indeed a pleasure to learn that Gabriels acknowledges staff performance – this is such a morale booster; whether one wins or not. I truly enjoy working with the team and I’m pleased to learn of the award ceremony.”
Gabriels is family-owned and has been actively servicing clients for over 17 years in Reading and surrounding areas. The nominated employees will receive awards in five categories: Longest Serving; Highly Professional; Most Hardworking; Most Reliable and Rising Star. This will be the first event in the history of the company, with high-hopes of many more in the future.
About Gabriels Care and Nursing Agency
Gabriels Care and Nursing Agency was founded by Paul and Evreth Thompson in 2001 after encountering many difficulties while trying to find suitable care for a family member. Their experiences led them to start their own care and nursing agency to provide services that could be adapted to meet the specific needs of clients. Today, Gabriels employs over 200 nurses and carers, supplying quality care to customers across Berkshire and north Hampshire. The company is managed by its owners who are personally involved in every aspect of the business.
